Meet your keynote speaker – Dr. Marcia Reynolds

She speaks to organizations around the world on leadership topics. Her work is to coach top talent women in making big decisions, building important relationships and showing them how to use strength and grace to achieve maximum success.

A past President of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), Reynolds is a pioneer in the coaching profession, being one of the first twenty five people in the world to earn the designation Master Certified Coach (MCC) as well as being instrumental in designing the certification and accreditation programs for the ICF.

Fascinated by the brain, especially what triggers enthusiasm and innovation in the workplace has led her down many roads in her desire to stay on top of the shifts in employee engagement and leadership development.

In addition to her multiple advanced degrees and decades of work experience, Marcia has a depth of understanding about human nature that she gained when she was 20 years old and living in a jail cell. She credits her “unexpected angels” with helping her discover her true sense of self and value. Her passion for making a difference in the world and in the lives of women has been alive and present in all of her work ever since she re-entered the world.

She has been featured in national media, including Investor’s Business Daily, Harvard Communications Newsletter, Cosmopolitan, Christian Science Monitor, Family Circle, American Way, The Los Angeles Times, and The New York Times. She has appeared on ABC World News, National Public Radio, and Japan Nightly News.

On this journey, she has developed and woven together three areas of expertise: organizational change, coaching and emotional intelligence into a number of techniques that proved to be a great success with her female clients in helping them make decisions and create more emotionally-satisfying lives. The results led her to write Wander Woman: How High-Achieving Women Find Contentment and Direction. [Now a bestseller on Amazon.com

Meet “real-world” woman Karen Walrond –

She shares her amazing adventures, her life changing story and her transformative and thought provoking ideas on vision. Her story will inspire even the hungriest heart, not just for days or weeks, but for months to come!

She is a former engineer and a current (though non-practicing) attorney. (This means that in the off-chance you find yourself in trouble, while she’d love to help you out, she’s more likely going to refer your case to someone with malpractice insurance.)

These days, Karen combines her extensive executive corporate experience with her photography, writing and digital desktop skills to develop articles, online essays, digital stories and marketing pieces. She has appeared on both local and national television shows and other news media, including being quoted on CNN.com and making an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Karen’s new book, The Beauty of Different, is a chronicle of imagery and portraiture, combined with written essays and observations on the concept that what makes us different makes us beautiful — and may even be the source of our superpowers. Karen is originally from Trinidad & Tobago, but currently lives in Houston, Texas with Marcus (her English husband), Alex (her American daughter), and Rufus the Wonderdog. She holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Texas A&M University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston.
